What is the Arrupe Project?
The Arrupe project is a project at my school where each eighth grade student picks a non-profit that they would like to help and donate to. The students fundraise from November 2023 to March 2024. We fundraise while also using some of that money in order to buy supplies to sell. At the end of our project we donate all of the money we have raised directly to our non-profit!
What organization am I fundraising for?
I am fundraising for the Kinsley Adelynn Foundation. Their mission is to find a cure and improve the outcome of children affected by pediatric brain cancers.
Kinsley's Story
At the age of 3 Kinsley Adelynn Wilkerson was diagnosed with a rare type of brain cancer known as Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (ATRT). Kinsley spent more than half of her life fighting brain cancer and had many different treatments and procedures in order to help her fight this rare type of cancer. In July of 2023 Kinsley lost her nearly five year battle to cancer. Kinsley fought along side her mom (Anjali), dad (Robert), sister (Avila), and brother (Ryland). Throughout her battle she was a warrior and her laughter and bravery truly inspired others.
